The steel and aluminum body has a nice weight to it—not too heavy, but it feels solid in the hand. The Schmidt P900 cartridge writes smooth right out of the box, and the click button is satisfyingly crisp without being stiff.

The click mechanism is the part that sold me—it’s crisp and responsive, no wobble at all. The Schmidt ink cartridge writes buttery smooth on my notebook, and the body has just enough heft to feel substantial without tiring my hand. I’ve used it daily for two weeks and it’s still my go-to.
